Fully Escorted Tour – 11 Days / 10 Nights

Delhi-Rishikesh-Joshimath-Ghanghria-Govindghat-Ghanghria-Joshimath-Rishikesh-Delhi

BEST SEASON – June to September

A very special journey and an unforgettable experience. High in the Himalayan ranges lies an enchanted valley which, when the snows have melted, is decked with hundreds of varieties of wild flowers with perfume to remember the rest of your life. But it is right that a place of such enchantment is not easily accessible. You will be passing through some of the most spectacular scenery in the world. After the start from Delhi you will stay overnight at Rishikesh, on the banks of the Ganges, where you can take a dip in the holy river or simply wade in the warm water or even go White Water Rafting. Then to Govindghat by car and after that there is a 2 to 3 hour trek.

As the Valley of Flowers is best in the monsoon season a trip to Ladakh which lies in the shadow of the monsoon can also be made. Take a trip to  Dharamsala where the Dalai Lama is based and then through to Leh driving over the highest motorable road in the world.  Spectacular scenery, clean air and there is an urge to walk and explore the monasteries. This is ideal trekking country but you must be fit – as this is trekking at some of the highest places in the world.  For more information please see our page on Ladakh/Kargil/Zanskar
