Visions of India - templeS and religion
Fully Escorted Tour – 11 Days / 10 Nights

Delhi-Agra-Gwalior-Orchha-Khajuraho-Varanasi-Delhi

BEST SEASON – October to March

Khajuraho could be a strange place to conjure up with temples as it is famous for its collection of erotically carved temples. The twenty carved temples are worth the trip to India alone. In the evening there is a sound and light show and the town is close to Orchha one of the most important heritage sites in India. The ruined palaces and temples are very atmospheric and have excellent fresco and architecture. Coming from Gwalior, home of the ancient Jain temples, just one night stay is enough en route to Khajuraho, but the visit will be well rewarded. The next stop after Khajuraho is Varanasi, the holiest city in India. Pilgrims from all over India come to bathe in the Ganges. Take a boat ride on the river and drift down the river in harmony with the spirit of Varanasi.  This trip includes a stay in Agra to view what is arguably the best monument in the world – the Taj Mahal.
