NEW TOURIST VISA RULES
New rules state that there should be a gap of at least 2 months between two visits to India on a Tourist Visa. Tourists who intend to leave India and visit some of its neighbours such as Nepal or Bhutan, and then re enter India to fly home are permitted two or three entries within a two month period. But they should have a “detailed itinerary and supporting documentation (ticket bookings).

FLIGHTS TO NATIONAL PARKS
Starting from Nov 15, 2008 Chimes Aviation will be providing services four (4) times a week between Nagpur, Kanha, Bandhavgarh and Khajuraho (Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday). A fifth day Thursday service will commence from Jan 2009. The aircraft will commence from Nagpur and land in each location (mentioned above) before landing in Khajuraho and returning back to Nagpur. Baggage allowance 15kg, soft bags only.

Wildlife parks will now open from 1st October.
Ranthambore National Park has introduced a Night Safari in the buffer zone.

OUTSOURCING OF VISA APPLICATIONS
From 29th May 2008 visa for India is no longer issued at the Indian High Commission. Visa can be obtained by post, on-line or in person at the following addresses:
