Tiger, tiger burning bright..

India is the land of the tiger though these are now becoming even rarer due to  poaching. So now is the time to catch this elusive king of the jungle. If you want to give yourself the best opportunity to see them, then it is best to plan the holiday around the National Parks. But you don’t have to miss out on the rest of the sights and sounds of India.The Taj Mahal, Delhi, Jaipur, Darjeeling can all be planned around the main objective -  to observe wild life. And tiger is not the only thing to see. You will also see leopards, one horned rhinos, elephants, jungle cat, wild dogs and even lions. Bird watchers can indulge themselves at the Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary (Keoladeo), and also in the national parks such as Kanha and Bandhavgarh in Central India. Kaziranga National Park in East India, in addition to the One Horned Rhino,  tiger and  wild elephants, boasts over 400 species of birds. Don’t miss out on

 Suggested Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrive  Mumbai -  stay  one night at the Taj Hotel.

Day 2 and 3 - Fly to Nagpur and on arrival transfer to Pench National Park  (about 3 hours) for a two night stay  at the Taj / CC Africa resort.  Three safaris to the Park for maximized opportunity for tiger viewing.

Day 4 and 5 - Transfer to Kanha National Park (about 3 hrs)  staying for two nights at the Taj / CC Africa luxury resort. Two safaris to the Park.

Day 6 and 7 - Drive to Bandhavgarh  (about 5 hours) for a two night stay at the Taj / CC Africa luxury resort Mahua Kothi.  Three safaris to the Park.

Day 8 and 9 - Transfer to Jabalpur  (about 3 hours) (optional -  take a cruise on the River Narmada amongst the spectacular marble rocks)   take  a flight to Delhi for a two night stay at the Imperial Hotel and  visit  the old and the new city. Shopping.

Day 10 – flight to onward destination

Optional visits or alternative visit to other Tiger reserves such as  Ranthambore or Corbett can be organized as well. These can be mixed with visits to the famous nearby towns eg Agra for the  Taj Mahal if you are visiting Ranthambore.
