In Dibrugarh (N E India) A typical riding holiday in North East India will take you through forest trails – stopping for a picnic lunch on a tea estate. On another day the trail will take you to a nearby village where you may sample the village arts and crafts or even walk in the nearby Jokai Forest – a popular bird watching area. Another day you can ride along the mighty Brahmaputra River – named as the only male river in India due to its turbulent nature – followed by a picnic lunch on one of the sandy islands, watching the local fishermen go about their business. The tour takes you to Kaziranga National Park where you will stay overnight. Hear the jungle sounds and see the Rhinos , deer , buffaloes and many varieties of birds. Then back to the tea estate to chillout. Even Michael Pelling tried out the horse riding during his Eastern Himalayan Tour. |
