The Andaman and Lakshadweep islands offer world class diving and are amongst the best locations in Asia. In both of these locations PADI diving courses are available although it is recommended you book these early particularly during the peak months between December and February.
The Andaman islands are located in the Bay of Bengal approximately 1000km from the Indian mainland. These islands have remained relatively undiscovered and are lined with mile upon mile of natural beautiful coastline and coupled with crystal clear warm water make these islands an ideal location to dive in. The islands are part of a chain of submerged mountains and as such are surrounded by gigantic coral reefs with some of the largest variety of coral and tropical fish available anywhere in the world.
The Lakshadweep islands are surrounded by gorgeous blue seas and are located some 400kms west of Kerala in the Arabian sea. The islands have numerous shallow lagoons and these coupled with extensive colourful coral reefs alongside superb visibility make this an ideal location for both experienced and new divers to take in the reefs and varied marine life.
Please note that if you plan to travel to both the islands then permit restrictions mean foreigners can only visit one island.
Combine a week in the islands with other activities (see our various itineraries) or simply stay on and chillout.
